In reality, we all know how important our health and well-being is in order to enjoy all the many and beautiful things that life has to offer with a happy body that allows us to walk us through our day to day life. What a blessing it is if one can enjoy every day without any discomfort or pain. A body that uses its innate intelligence and works “automatically” without us having to manage nor interfere in anything. The heart that is pumping in his perfect rhythm, the lungs exchanging oxygen and carbon dioxide so we can breathe properly with a proper detoxication. Digestion and a complex metabolism taking place and absorbing important nutrients into our bodies after having eaten a meal. The liver and kidneys that get rid of all the toxins and waste to protect the body from damage. Then our eye sight, our hearing, smelling, sensing, the way our brain functions with its many neural connections. The way we can laugh and interact with the world. It just works without us having to think about controlling any of it consciously. How cool is that?! It’s a miracle, don’t you think?
And yet only few of us seem to appreciate a healthy body… until it gets sick all the way to severe health conditions. In the contemporary society we are so disconnected from our body, its needs and what really matters in a human life that we have unlearned how to properly care for ourselves and be your biggest advocates and fans. We tend to pay more attention and give more love to a clean and functioning car or other people than we take care of our own well-being first.
There are many factors that play a vital role in our health and determine our body’s condition. And it can be super simple if we learn how to prioritize in a way that fits our individual schedule. I know, life can be a rollercoaster and we go through different phases, changes and challenges throughout our lives. But these are exactly the moments we have to take the most care of our health and not leave it aside for later. Later might never happen.
